Soon, Toyota is launching its Toyota Etios Cross that will come in a rugged category. This latest addition to the Etios range will add further character and thrill to this car which was not known for performing in the best possible manner. By launching this car, the company has decided to follow on the footsteps of Volkswagen as far as model line-up is concerned. Just like Cross Polo from the aegis of Volkswagen, Toyota will also come up with Etios cross which is going to be Liva hatchback. In 2013, November, this car was first launched in Brazil and it is now going to be unveiled at Indian Expo which is going to be held in February, 2014.
Features of new Etios cross
The pictures of this car reflect a lot of impressive features in this car. In comparison to Liva hatchback, it is going to look sportier. The car has plastic cladding enveloping its body. Integrated bumper guard can be seen on the front bumper. Fog lamp housings are also brand new. Latest ten spoke alloy wheels and roof rails are further additions seen in this car. Interiors of this car are also high quality and superior looking. Head rests on the seats are adjustable whereas Liva has fixed head rests. Faric on the seat is black in color and the dashboard has chrome inserts.
In both diesel as well as petrol variants, this car would be available in the market. No changes are expected in power train. 69PS 1.4 l D4D engine is going to be used in the diesel variant whereas 90PS 1.5 l engine is going to be used in its petrol variant. The latter would be from TRD Sportivo Etios Liva. The car is expected to be positioned in the premium segment and the company is planning to price this car in a suitable price range so as to expand its target market.
